This may not be the correct place but

How would I find information about a divorce. I tried Birmingham registry office but they only keep them for 75years, and that is of no help to me.

My Grandfather and his first wife divorced in the early/mid 1920's, after 25 years. so that would make it 1924/25 as they married Christmas day 1889. They were legally divorced but I have no idea where to search next.

Your figures don't add up (1889 +25 = 1914 not 1924) so I guess there's a typo there somewhere, but whichever you mean ...

Basically it's a case of (as mentioned in that leaflet) The Principal Registry of the Family Division for copies of decrees, or the National Archives themselves for case files - the index on the 1837online site only goes up to 1903 so wouldn't cover yours, and I don't know of a later online one.

Yeap you're right they married in 1898.... so yes just ignore my typing.
