I am hoping someone will be able to help me find information on Joseph Blakey b 1853 Terrington, Yorks and his brother Mark Blakey b 1860 Terrington, Yorks.
Both are on the 1861 census but only Mark is in the 1871 census.
Neither are on any subsequent censuses although their great-neice heard Mark talked about by her father, who was born in 1890.
Did they emigrate or join the forces and were consequently out of the country for censuses?? It really is a mystery and I'd be grateful for any help.

Hi
A big Thanks for bothering to look up the IGI.
What we really wanted to know was
Did anybody had any knowledge of them after they appeared in the 1861 and 1871 censuses.
As I said
"Did they emigrate or join the forces and were consequently out of the country for censuses??"
