When my g.uncle enter the Epileptic Colony at Edmonton in 1926 (age 11) his nearest relative was recorded as being:

Guardian Officer, Garden St. Stepney.

Has anybody got any idea whether was a children's home or workhouse??

Stepney was the headquarters of Dr barnardo homes. i am an old barnardo boy, we all had so called guardians
