Hello everyone, just a question for some kind person with some local knowledge of Flintshire.
I was wondering if there are any genealogists or a Family History Society in Tryddyn that I could possibly address some correspondence to. Without being able to get to Wales (from Australia) I am having a lot of difficulty obtaining information about Tryddyn & it's residents c1870/80's.
All my searches via the internet (and per many kind people) have struck the same brickwall.

Kind Regards
Peter Euston

Hi Peter
I've been looking into the family tree of George Emlyn Williams CBE an Actor, Screenwriter, Play Author. and he comes from that area. If you go to his site and go to Mary (his mother) she came from
Tryddyn as do her ancesters

Mary Williams Born: 1869, Tryddyn

hope this is of some help !
I'm also in Australia and searching these thigs can be a bit of a pain

Hi Peter,
I assume you have tried contacting Clwyd FHS?

They also have a link to Transcriptions of Parish Registers; North Wales BMD, as well as all the Genuki pages about Tryddyn and Flintshire generally.
