I was wondering if anybody could help with the following marriage look-up or if not does anybody know where the PR's reside

As yet I do not know where the PRs are, but I will shortly as I am sat in Stockport Library. I know that you were just flying a kite, but if possible could you include the BMD reference number.

the only ref I have from cheshire bmd is Stockport : ST64/11/123

does this make any sense

SteveYes it makes perfect sense. In theory you don't even need to know the names but why anyone would won't to do that is beyond me. I'm afraid it is going to cost you money if you want to see this certificate...the registers are at Cheshire Records Office.

All I'm after is the witness details and the date of the marriage. Looks like the certficate will be the cheaper option than a trip to Chester.
