To confirm a mother's name, I wonder if someone would kindly look up the 1861 cencus for a
MARIA HART living in the small village of HAWRIDGE with father WILLIAM HART
and mother - she would be about 4YRS OLD - and should be at the end of a family (near the end) Father would prob. be a labourer or similar.
On her marrige cert. in 1880 she says that her father was WILLIAM but there were two WILLIAM HARTS in Hawridge. One living with wife Sarah and another living as a widower with a daughter.
There is no address given in the 1881 cencus - just Hawridge - consists of only about 15-20 frames of one family per frame.
I want to avoid ordering two birth certificates as the place name on the one which I have claimed is not quite right for Hawridge which should be Aylesbury District. The one I claimed is named Amersham. The other is completely unreadable.
Many thanks to all.
