If anyone can take me back further it would be great.
They later moved to trevethin where I picked them up in the census.

Hi
Whilst hunting for my own ALSOP family in Gloucestershire, I found these at Westerleigh. Unfortunately my stray file is bigger than my family pile so I have quite a lot of unconnected Alsops at the moment.

Killed falling down the waymouth of No 6 pit; 142 fathoms to the
bottom. Inquest 16.12.1805 at The Ring of Bells, Coalpit Heath. Buried Westerleigh 17.12.1805.

John Alsop
"Killed in a coalpit". Buried Westerleigh 14.2.1792.

John Alsop
Killed Tippetts & Co's coalpit by a large quantity of stone and rubbish
falling on his body. Inquest 25.4.1801, St George.

John Alsop (7)
Coalminer. Killed at Whimsey Pit by a wheel striking him on the head.
Inquest 27.6.1820, Westerleigh.

William Alsop
The "son of John Alsop, killed in a coalpit". Buried Westerleigh
10.12.1762.

14th February 1787

Daniel Alsop was killed in a coalpit and buried at Westerleigh.

14th February 1793

John Alsop was killed in a coalpit and buried at Westerleigh.
