Is anyone out there any the wiser about William Henry Field, who lived at 39 Czar Street Deptford in late 1916.
He married Ellen M Smith in 4th Qtr 1912 in the Greenwich area of London.
I would guess he was born in the 1890's but can find no birth records which are conclusive.
Their son (my father) was born 24 Dec 1916. It is known that there is a later brother - Leslie John, born 22/10/1922. It is also thought that there is an older sister Margaret E and another brother Henry J - born about 1920.
I have no information as to where they lived prior to 1912.
I suppose my resolve would be to try for the marriage ceertificate.
