1851 Census Help

Would anyone be able to help me find the household of Henry Tawney born about 1812,he was living in Banbury in 1841, employed as a Banker, I would particularly like to know if my relative was still in his employ a Sarah Scruby.

No Sarah Scruby in that household in 1851, Jab.

Seven individuals listed with that name in the census, wives, daughters and sisters.

Would like to know if there is a Sarah Scruby in the census, I have her family, Mother Rhoda and her Siblings but as yet have not been able to find Sarah in 1851,I know that she never married and was probably still in service.

Hi Sharron,
Sarah was baptised in Cropredy in 1818, her Mother came from Broughton and her Father lived in Sibford Ferris.

Sorry, Jab, but I failed to find Sarah on the 1851. I'm astonished she's been correctly indexed for the 1841, to be honest, having looked at the handwriting!

Often servants were not called by their own names and therefore misrepresented on the census and maybe that's the case here.
