According to an old history book one of the new church bells installed at St Annes, Bewdley in 1780 was inscribed "Nathaniel Adey, Bridgewarden". Nathaniel was bridgewarden in Bewdley in 1770, 1776, 1780 and 1783, does anyone know what this job involved?
I have a copy of the will of Nathaniel Adey, plumber of Bewdley who appears to be the same person, he had a wife called Fran and a daughter also called Fran who married Charles Wright an ironmonger of Bromsgrove at Ribbesford in 1787. Does anyone happen to have any further information?
