I am trying to trace some direct relatives, for whom I do not have a surname. I would imagine it an almost impossible task, but hopefully, with your help, there may be a glimmer of hope. Here goes.

Uncle Stanley and Auntie Florence (nee FURNESS) had a greengrocers stall in Derby indoor market during the 1950’s-1960’s. They had a daughter called Kathleen, who became a school teacher. Kathleen married and lived in Littleover, in the mid to late fifties. I beleive she had two children.

Kathleen would now be in her early 70’s, I think, and her children would be late 40’s early 50’s. I believe Kathleen’s husband was a teacher too.
My father, Alfred FURNESS, was professional photographer who Kathleen may remember, opened a “Studio” in Blackpool in 1954-1955. He specialised in portraits of the “Stars” of the day. Names like Terry Thomas, Boner Coleno, Susan Shaw and Jack Hawkins were on Dad’s client list. Kathleen attended the opening. I was only about 13 at the time, but I remember that Kathleen looked so elegant, and I longed to be like her when I was grown up!
I believe that Kathleen and I are the only surviving direct descendants of Samuel Neal FURNESS and Annie Gertrude FURNESS, who lived in Ashton under Lyne, Cheshire.
If anyone has any information regarding any of the above, I would be so grateful to hear about them.
Many thanks.
