Thomas Naylor Lucas appears on the 1851 census as Curate at Melchbourne. I think he only received Holy Orders at Cambridge University in 1847 and by 1861 had returned to his native South Carolina along with his wife Sarah (nee Parkinson).
As Curate would he appear on Melchbourne Parish Records as the presiding minister at baptisms, marriages & deaths? If so has anyone got access to the Parish Records that might show when Thomas first appears and when he may have left Melchbourne.
I appreciate any help or guidance.
