I have a Mary WALKER born c1831 in Runcorn. I find her on the 1861 and the 1851 censuses but I was wondering if someone could please look in the 1841 for Runcorn for me? I know her father was called William but I need to find her mother's name.According to her marriage certificate in 1851 her father was a mariner. Can someone please help me?

Hi Sue,

I have found a Christening of a Mary Walker in 1831 in Runcorn 30 January 1831
Parents were William Walker and Martha.

Elley

Hi Elley

Thank you for that but I had seen it in the IGI online. The only problem is there are 2 Mary Walkers in Runcorn in 1831 both with a father William and I was hoping that the 1841 census or a parish record could determine which one she was.
Thanks again anyway
Regards

Hi Sue

In the 1841 census I can't see a Mary Walker living with a father William, but there is this:
HO107/95/17 folio 15 page 17, Weston, Runcorn, Cheshire
William Walker 30 labourer
Sarah Walker 25
Thomas Walker 3

5 doors away
John Harris 70 labourer
Ann Harris 70
Jane Walker 15
John Walker 2
Mary Walker 10

Hi There Wirral
Thanks you so much for that info this looks quite promising I will just have to keep my fingers crossed and hope that I can get hold of some parish records from Runcorn that will hopefully confirm the parents

Do you have access to All Saints PR? If not they are here.

Hi UK
Thank you so much for that. Could I be so bold as to impose on your generosity again and ask for a marriage lookup please? It is for William WALKER and Martha. Again I would be in your debt.

Sue
