Stourbridge Union Workhouse

Hi,

I am trying to find out if the Stourbridge Union Workhouse (now Wordsley Hospital) in Stream Road,Wordsley had a given address.The reason I ask is that one of my ancestors place of birth is given on her birth certificate as No 12 Stream Rd,Wordsley.She was born in 1905 to an unmarried mother,and I believe it was common for such births to occur in workhouses.

I would be very grateful for any information.

The address of Wordsley Hospital (previously the Stourbridge Institution and originally the Stourbridge Workhouse) is indeed, as you guessed, Stream Road, Stourbridge DY8 5QX
