Around Horsham

hello, hope someone can help me find some info on the REEN or REENE family,they lived around horsham ,shipley,pulborough,nuthurst ,up to the 1860s ,lost track before that .thanks t.

hi, jane, thanks for answering ,what i know ,1861 census she down as mary ede ,her husband george my great great grandad, she was born abt 1841 in shipley sussex but living in nuthurst sussex, found her later 1881 census born in horsham , still searching but thats it for now .thanks t

Hi teadrinker,
I checked the 1861 for the family in Nuthurst & I presume your thinking is the same as mine, that Richard Reen,widr, lodger,59 born Lodsworth Sussex is Mary's father & Peter Reen, lodger, is her brother?
Going on that, I found an extracted record on the familysearch IG Index for the birth & baptism of Mary REENE, born 24/9/1840, baptised 4/10/1840, Shipley, Sussex, daughter of Richard & Mary. This is a possible marriage for Richard from the Sussex Marriage Index, Singleton not being far from Lodsworth.

Singleton, West Sussex, 8 Mar 1830:
Richard REEAN, bach otp
Mary WILLIS, sp otp (B)
Witness wits: Sarah REEAN Rd PENNICOTT

Mary Reen married George Ede March quarter 1861, Horsham FreeBMD (2b 327)
After using all the tricks in the book, I can't find Richard & his family on the 1851.
