I have managed to trace my family to a 1861 census but the copy off (ancestry) is so poor that I can't read one of the sons names. Is is possible to get another copy from another source, I appreciate that this copy is poor due to the quality of the ledger.

The 1861 census is RG9/522 Folio 46 page 10

Also Ancestry has recorded the names incorrectly is there a way of getting them to amend their records.
The names should read:
Henry Hammond (head)
Amelia " (wife)
George " (son)
Charlotte " (dau)
??? " (son)
Elizth " (dau)

Thank Julie

If you look closely, you'll see all three ages are in the female column. The return does also quite clearly record them as daughters:

Charlotte Hammond, 5
Sarah Hammond, 3
Elizth Hamond, 1

Sometimes you can't see the wood for the trees!!

I have no idea why I was searching for a 'son'! Thanks again Geoffers for putting me on the right road,
Julie
