Hi

My mum and I would like to find out what we can about what her father did during WW2. He was a driver in the RAF. We have his 'Service and Release Book' which gives his rank as L.A.C (believe this is 'Leading Aircraftsman'?) and his service no. 1222418.

I understand that there may be some records in the National Archive. Can anyone give advice? This is not an area I have ventured into before.

Many thanks

Contact RAF Inniswood first as they will be able to provide you with the most info. If your mother asks for the information on your father's service record then it is free, if not I think it is £25. I contacted them last year & they were very helpful.
