I have my Carey Family found in the 1841 census as :-
1841 census HO107/1003/13 folio 24 page 14 Wetley Abbey, Cheddleton, Staffordshire
[All surname Carey, all born in the county]
Thomas 48 Ind [of independent means]
Ellen 45
Thomas 18
Eliza 16
Ellen 15
Sarah 12
Mary 10
Henry 8
Annie 7
Richard 6
George 4

The Head/father Thomas died before the 1851 census and the son Thomas had married and was living in Worcestershire and his sister Sarah was visiting him on census day but I would hope to find Ellen and the kids not too far away from the 1841 location.

I would greatly appreciate a lookup in 1851 thanks for your help.

do you have actual places of birth?

i think that the surname has been mistranscribed. have tried various searches but just having staffordshire as birth county brings too many results.

:( sorry to say that I still cannot find them. They only thing that I can think of is that Ellen remarried before the 1851 census and that ALL have been taken as the new surname.

You might need to look into a second marriage before being able to find them on the 1851 census.

you might want to re-post with ALL the relevant info in one post. most will see that there has been 10 replies to this post and not bother looking as they might assume that your question has been solved. you will have better luck with a new post. sorry i couldn't find anything.
