I have been searching for an IGI birth record for my ancestor William Jordan. I was able to find the name of his father on his marriage cert as James, and his birthplace as Middlesex on one of his children's birth certs in Australia. He was born around 1823, and his occupation has been listed as cork cutter (on marriage cert), brick layer, builder, and mason. His father was stated as being a carpenter. The only person coming close to these details on any of my searches has been William Jardine. Could this be my William Jordan? I have no idea and I really am stuck with this one. I have been unable to find any more. I would love some help on this!

Thanks,

Tammie
