I am trying to find the birth of my GGGrandfather Edwin NEWTON.
In 1841 census, Edwin is a visitor in Richmond, Surrey, aged 22 born Somerset, Bristol.
In 1851 census, Edwin is with his Wife Rebecca (BARLEYCORN) and children Alfred, Fanny, George and Eliza in Lambeth, Surrey. He is aged 33 born Bristol, Gloucestershire.
This should mean that Edwin was born between 1826 and 1829 in the Bristol area. From his marriage certificate, his father's name is Edward. I have not been able to find any more information about Edwin's origins.
Is there anyone out there who has any information to help me on this one?
