I am following up on a posting of of some 18 months ago relating to Benjamin Wallis of Stanway, b.c1680. Benjamin married twice, his first wife dying about 1713, almost certainly in childbirth. All the children from the two marriages - strangely, all sons - were baptised in Stanway between 1703 and 1721.

Benjamin's first marriage was to Anna Gilson c1702; his second was to Elizabeth (surname unknown), 1714-15.

It is almost certain that Benjamin was not born in Stanway; it is likely that he was born in Weston Subedge or one of the nearby parishes in North Glos. or in the neighbouring area of Broadway/Evesham, Worcs. I am therefore looking for records of the Wallis suname in those areas from the period c1640-1680.

This has been a very fruitless area of research to date with many frustrations. I am looking for a breakthrough, so would be extremely grateful for any clues.
