I wonder if anyone has information about Michael O'Shaughnessy a Solicitor of Dublin born in the mid (maybe later) 1800's and who married a Valentina Tracy, and then appears to have died as she is listed as a widow in the 1901 census. His father was also Michael and a Barrister. Any help would be appreciated.

Interesting, my Theology teacher's name at school is Fr. Shaughnessy. I doubt there's a connection though.

Richard, I doubt it somehow! I guess there is somewhere I can search for him but not sure where? I wondered if he had died in The Boer War? Would young men have been required to go regardless of their profession? It seems so odd that he died so young and there don't appear to be any children of the marriage. I was actually researching the Tracy family, and think I am going to post something to see if anyone has any information about them. I got side tracked with the love story bit!
