I am looking for the parents of ..

Wllliam Fellows b. 1861 in Islip, Northamptonshire, and his sister Agnes Fellows b. Islip, Nothamptonshire.

I thought the 1871 census may help me find them as they are not with their children in the 1881 census.

With thanks

Carrie

Hello Carrie,

I have a William Fellows, born 1861 Islip, but no Agnes, unless Elizabeth A is Elizabeth Agnes. She doesn't appear to be on Free BMD as yet and she isn't currently on the IGI, so I couldn't check.

1871 Islip, Northamptonshire RG10/1507 79 5

Thomas Fellows 50 agricultural labourer born Thrapston, Notts
Elizabeth Fellows 49 born Titchmarsh, Notts
William Fellows 10 scholar born Islip, Notts
Elizabeth A Fellows 5 born Islip, Notts

HTH, Sharron

Hi Carrie,

I've just been looking at the 1881 census and it appears that Elizabeth A and Agnes (I keep typing Angus!) are one and the same. On the 1881, she is 15 and listed as Agnes E.

And I apologise for typing Notts in my previous post, rather than Nortants. It was early!!:)

Do you have details of 1861 and 1851?

Sorry, Carrie, but I've tried all kinds of permutations, but I cannot find the family on the 1851.

It could be that the index is totally up the pole, or it could be that that section is missing.

Apologies, and I hope the guy in 1861 (and Lubiana) is correct!
