I would be interested to hear from anyone researching the Adye or Adey family which seems to have originated in Kent. In particular from around Doddington in the 1300s but spreading across the whole South East of England over the next 300 years.

I am still seeking help on this one. I am doing it the difficult way working forward from a very old pedigee which begins in approx 1350. Using the pedigree and other sources I have trace the family to around 1650 and I am now struggling. Family members originated near Doddington in 1350 but by 1650 they were spread from London to Barham.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

John,

I have found a family shown as ADE and ADY in Eastwell, Kent in the late 1600's. A couple of Baptisms and Deaths of the parents. Would these be of any interest? If so let me know and I'll post the details. Or..email me.

Thank you everyone.

I have now worked further down the tree and I am seeking information regarding the following people:

Henry Adye, born approx 1500, Malling, Kent.
Henry Adye, Thomas Adye, William Adye, Susan Adye and Mary Adye these are the children of the above mentioned Henry Adye and his wife Susan Parnsby.
Nicholas Adye, born approx 1625, Down Court Doddington, Kent.
Jane Adye, John Adye, Nicholas Adye andElizabeth Adye these are the children of the above Nicholas Adye and his wife Jane De Bouverie.
Edward Adye, died approx 1664, Barham, Kent. I have a copy of his will which sadly gives very little information.
James Adye and Leah Adye these are the children of the above Edward Adye and his wife Leah Fortrye.

Regards and thanks
