Researching Thomas Faull & Sally (Sarah) Oliver. They married at Wendron in 1825.Thomas died 1837-1854( probably pre 1841)He was a farmer at Roskear.
They had 8 children,- Thomas born 1832 came to Australia in 1834.
I would love to have Thomas Snr death date so I can get further back.

There are only five entries on FreeBMD at the moment, four aren't for the Reg. District which covers Wendron, the fifth entry is the correct District (Helston) but not until 1854, with a middle name.

However, if you keep checking in here, as entries are being added quite regularly. Good Luck!

Sorry, just spotted Camborne in your title ..... there are two entries for a Thomas Faull on FreeBMD for Reg. District of Redruth, which covers Camborne.

Sorry, I thought he had died at Wendron. :o

Hello Marianne,

I assume you have the full date of their marriage in Wendron? If not, this is it:

02 Jul 1825. I thought with the marriage taking place here, one or both of them may have been baptised at Wendron, unfortunately - no. :(

Good Luck!

Thanks,
This is what I thought was the case, in the time since I posted the query I have been still searching, as we do, & found him born to Thomas Faull, husbandman, & Mary Knight.
The search will go on, Sarah Oliver is still a big problem.

I803 is the only one I have found that could be possible, I have found no other , although in 1841,1851, & 1861 census her age would make her birth c1806. She has disappeared by 1871, & I cannot find a death or re-marriage.
I am at present trying to find out more about her from her children's births & marriages but not having much luck.

Hi Marianne

What a small world it is!!

I was looking in depth last night at Thomas Oliver (Sally/Sarah's father). On Thomas Faull's death in 1839 - Thomas Oliver is of College Street, Camborne.

On the 1841 and 1851 census Thomas Oilver is still at College Street (baker/confectioner). His date of birth ranges from 1788 to 1791 born in Camborne. The wife shown in Elizabeth born abt. 1797, Ireland and a son Thomas born abt 1835 in Helston.

On the IGI the only Thomas Oliver I can see that was born in or about 1835 was born to Thomas and Mary (we are back to Thomas and Mary again!!).

I wonder if Mary died and Thomas married Elizabeth. I tried searching the IGI for a marriage for Thomas and Elizabeth, but have noticed that there are years missing for Camborne or Helston (I can't now remember which).

Thomas Oliver, I think, died in 1856 and Elizabeth in 1857 (or the other way round). I have order Thomas's death cert - not that I expect it to give us much information.

I wondered if anybody out there had access to the burial records for 1835 -1841 for Camborne to see if there is death of a Mary Oliver.

Speak to you soon
regards Julie
