In 1851 George SAUNDERS was living in Edenbridge at Crouch House Green Cottage. I have his marriage cert and his father is shown as Richard. I would like to trace Richard's marriage and birth. George either came from Brasted or Lingfield (Surrey) according to different census entries.
I have found out that Richard SAUNDERS was the tenant at Crouch House Green Cottage in 1841 (he seems to have died by 1851).
If anyone has the 1841 census, could I trouble them to look up to see who the other occupants were, please, and Richard's age. I am hoping his wife and other children, and rough age may help me narrow down place of origin.
Many thanks in anticipation.
P.S. I got the info re 1841 from Maureen Rawson's Kent Genealogy website - there appears to be a farmer called Richard SAUNDERS (mentioned as from Sevenoaks and employing people on Settlement Examination Records) but I think this is probably another Richard, as mine was a tenant, not a farmer, and my lot tend to be lowly stock!)
