Hi all

This site has enabled me to find three half brothers and thus gain some info about my birth mother (now deceased). Talking to my new siblings I have ascertained that my unknown father was a soldier during WW2 and my mother was in the ATS and possibly worked with him. Also this soldier went off to Rhodesia c1946 not knowing about her pregnancy (suspicious about that!).

Where do I start? She was based in London - I don't know the nationality of the soldier - he could have been a G.I, Canadian or a good old Tommy.

I realise this is very little info but you guys are so good...............is the flattery working?

Any tips very welcome.

Sandy

SandyWent to Rhodesia ?? could he have been a Rhodesian? serving either in the British army or the Rhodesian Army. Now don't ask me where to start looking for their records.

Does this soldier have a name? Was it listed on birth cert? You could try the CWGC. first.
