TIA - HiFlyHmmm... only 2 Josephs showing up in both the 1861 and 1871 censuses for England, both in Cumberland, born in 1847 and 1859. Six Elizabeths but none with a birth year close to 1829.

I tried several variations of Wannop, including wildcards but no fortune.

Have you found them on the 1881 census?

Trish

Hi Hifly

like Trish I also cannot find Joseph or elizabeth on any census after 1851.
There is a Joseph b1829 with his family in 1841 and also the same Joseph still with his family in 1851 and his father has gone from plain old farmer to farmer with 200 acres and 3 labourers. Plus his sons, daughter and a niece and nephew. Do you have these census records? If not I can post them for you.
Meanwhile I will keep looking and see what turns up.

This lookup request was initiated by my finding 2 cross-references matching - viz:
Parish Marriage Record Transcription stating marriage between those two on 27-Aug-1853 @ Stapleton, Cumberland - Husband Age: 25, Wife Age: 25

YoB is based upon info above.

Checking marriage date found the cross-reference on FreeBMD as stated.

Thanks Trish & Christina.
