    Default MORRIS SIMMONS-JULIA HENDRICKS

This new thread adds a range of data to update much earlier information originally researched some 20 years ago.
This original data has not been updated on the various family trees which exist online.
The focus of the data is Morris Simmons and his wife Julia Hendricks. Morris Simmons was the son of Ann aka Nancy Crawcour daughter of Samuel Crawcour 1748-1816 and his wife Rebecca surname unknown died circa 1821.
Records I hold show Ann aka Nancy dying 26 April 1817 and her husband Lazarus Simmons death 1 October 1820- I need to identify the source of the deaths.
This is the Great Synagogue Marriage record for Ann aka Nancy Crawcour and Lazarus SIMONS aka Simmons from Synagogue Scribes Marriage Records:
    GSM 077/40
ANN CRAWCOUR (Hebrew name NENAH) father's Hebrew name ZANVIL
LAZARUS SIMONS ( Hebrew name Lezar) father's Hebrew name Leib Hollander

This is the Hambro Synagogue Marriage of Morris and Julia:
    HSM 215
MORRIS SIMMONS ( Hebrew name Moshe) father's Hebrew name Eleazer
    Leman Street Goodmans Fields
    January 21 1835
JULIA HENDRICKS ( Hebrew name Getla)
    father's Hebrew name Mr Abraham

There is no record to confirm where Morris lived following the death of his parents nor if he had siblings.

The UK Register of Duties paid for Apprentices Indentures shows:
Wed 31 July 1799 Nath Moses master St Mary Whitechapel watch finisher Lazarus Simmons apprentice
This maybe Lazarus the father of Morris because later records show Morris as a watch finisher.

Interestingly, when Morris died he was recorded as a dentist and this may well reflect the Crawcour family dental background.

A family tree has a daughter Louisa born 1845 to Morris and Julia but currently I can't trace this birth nor that of other children. As I will later post, there is no mention in Morris will of any children in his bequests.
