    Default Spooky co-incidence

I have just found a missing chap from the family in Pembrokeshire, working as a footman for the Earl of Essex in Chelsea, and in the same house is a "still room maid" who hails from a tiny village in North Yorkshire where one of my brothers lived for 10 years.

I did a double take, and then reminded myself, nothing is too far fetched, and family history is fill of such "wow" moments.

I was once doing some research for some American cousins of my husband's, who had been so delighted with my findings on the common branch that they begged me to look for stuff on the other side of their family. I tracked them down in 1911 to a seaside villa in Kent, and working for them as a parlourmaid was my father's "missing" aunt. I told the Americans it seemed my family have always lived to serve them
