Hi trying to trace records of my Dad John Mc Menamin was in the \RAF 1934 to 1946 Warrant Officer. Came from Glasgow. Don't have his service number or details of squadron.
Any ideas on how to get more information about him?
Thanks

Welcome to the British-Genealogy forums
If you came to us from the FWR site then reading This will tell you about us.
WW11 service records are still held by the MoD so will not be found online. This 'sticky' gives advice and links to the site where you can order the records. You will need a death certificate, 30 pounds and patience as it will be a few months before you receive them because so many are on the same quest at the moment.

Was John his middle name? There's a MJ McMenamin in a RAF database I inherited from my Dad.
Scotlands People lists 6 Johns and 1 Michael John born in Glasgow 1900-1918
As Chris says, you need to get his records. Depending on his speciality, he might not have been in a squadron.

Hi Lesley
John was his only name. I Have looked at Scotlands People for a copy of his death certificate as I didn't have this. I'll have a go at getting his records from MOD
Thanks for responding so quickly
Best wishes
