Question Ernest Francis RAF Feb 1944 - Nov 1947

My father, Ernest Francis, joined the RAF as a Leading Air Craftman in Feb 1944 after having been in the ATC. At some point he was in training as we have a photo taken by a professional photographer in Fleetwood Lancashire in 1946 E/A CLKS 28B.
He went on the SS Empress of Scotland to Singapore, arriving in Sept 1947. He returned on the SS Strathnaver in January 1948. He was a clerk, AC/2/303674.
We have a caricature of him by Pat Rooney and the paper says 664B.
I have other numbers AXA7302285 and a National Identification No DS/1L/247/4 or D51L/247/4

I cannot find anything about him on these records - any suggestions gratefully received.

    Hi

WW11 personal service records are still held by the MoD so not available online. "]This 'sticky' explains where to apply and what paperwork you will need. You will also need 30 pounds and patience as it will take some months before you receive the records. So many people are applying at this time.
