    Been trying to contact you through the private messaging system about sending me a copy of the pre-war Militia record for Albert Edward Barton.
    Have you looked on Findmypast? The terms of use of Findmypast do not allow a subscriber to send a copy of a record to someone else - publicly or privately.

    Sorry, I didn't know it had anything to do with find my past. I am a full member of Ancestry so I'll go down that avenue.

    Militia attestation records (series WO96) and army service documents (WO97) were outsourced by the National Archives for digitization to Findmypast. Ancestry did not win the tender for these series and therefore you will not find them on Ancestry.
