Default B Btry 250th Brigade RFA

    Greetings

I have tracked down my Great Uncle to this unit and he was KIA 3/1/1918 and is buried north of Ypres.

I'm now struggling to find out how and where he perished despite knowing the cemetery details where he is interred.

Any suggestions of how I can find this information.

    Many thanks Nick A

    Try the war diaries

Also the book The Fiftieth Division 1914-1919 by Everard Wyrall

Thanks for what looks like a good pointer and so quick too! I'm aware that the 1st Northumberland Volunteers, or part thereof became CCL Brigade RFA and a history of the Volunteers was written post WW1, but its a bit pricey £150 and up second hand, there is a copy in Newcastle Library Reference Section and presumably the British Library so if I'm ever anywhere near I'll take a look. Again Thanks Nick A

For books, it's always worth trying Inter Library Loans (although the charges seem to have rocketed up thanks to the cuts - £4 a book in my area! )
