    Default How to get started

    Please help!
    I do not know how to get past the initial Search by Name/Unit link, which only gives the basics I already know. I joined in order to get a complete service record.

    Hallo Roger, and welcome to British Genealogy, which is owned by Forces War Records but is a free genealogy forum and a completely separate site (see here)

    Service Records for WW2 are still with the MOD. See this 'sticky' thread at the top of the forum.
