    Default Edward CHIPPERFIELD b 1885/1886 - Military

This man joined the Durham Light Infantry in 1910 as Edward SCOTT and continued to serve under that name until 1923, (he was found out in 1921) so his record is in the SCO section of the WW1 Service Records (WO 363):

Edward CHIPPERFIELD, born August 1885 or September 1886, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk (if he is to be believed!). Home address CHESTER-LE-STREET, Co Durham.

A Miner, married Elizabeth Ann MIDDLETON in 1909. Children: DORIS ANN 1910, PHYLLIS 1912, JAMES EDWARD 1914, LILIAN ELIZABETH 1920, JOHN JAMES 1922. (John James has B/C written after his name - I have no idea what this means)

    Regt Nos (all DLI): 1463; 300068 (WW1); 4438417 (1920-1923)
