The last ship mentioned on the single page record for him on FMP is HMS Vivid, but that only goes as far as Oct 1909. Then, if I'm reading it correctly, it says "Td to Sch of Music" under "cause of discharge from division or ship". I THINK that translates as "transferred to school of music". He was apparently already a musician before he joined up, the only rank given for him is Musician, and he had been stationed at the School of Music in the winter of 1906/07.

It also mentions previous service of 3 years and 222 days in the RN.

If you found your original data on Ancestry, I think you should use the link they give you to the National Archives, and see what they have.

There is an Albert Troude born 1883 in 1911-Occupation - A Musical Director/Electric Theatre but hesays he was born Wallingford Berkshire.

I can't see a birth for an Albert Troude on FreeBMD 1880-1884

Albert Edward married in 1909 and the wife in 1911 was Emma but on FreeBMD on the same page is an Emily Ferris or a Beatrice Blanche Wilkinson.

This name has been mistranscribed by FMP It is Froude as evidenced by their son Kenneth's birth in March 1/4 1906 and the marriage of an Albert Stephen Froude to Emma Marjorie C Acott in June 1/4 1905.

But the marriage of Albert E Trood is correct. Just haven't found him in 1911 yet.

Just re visited RM record Albert was born or stated this was his birth date as 18 June 1883 Southwark SO if the birth cert above is the correct one, he is being a bit flexi about his year of birth!

    A certificate is a MUST
