Hi

I'm off to France tomorrow with a mixture of nerves and excitement.

Main purpose of visit is to go to Le Chaudière Military Cemetery and pay our respects to my Great Great Uncle. He had emigrated to Canada from Harrogate, so he fought as part of the Canadian Regiment. He died at Vimy Ridge, 9th April 1917.

Then we will look around Arras and surrounding area, maybe take in a couple more cemeteries, but the above one is the guaranteed visit!

OFFER: Main purpose of post though is if anyone out there has a relative buried in the same cemetery that would like a photograph of the grave, can you let me know a.s.a.p. (by this evening), name and grave reference and I will endeavour to seek him out whilst there. Won't be able to pass photo on though until we get back to the UK (approx 10 days).

Hope to hear from at least one person, but I do realise it is short notice (didn't think of it before).

Cheers

Sue
