I am trying to find the war record for my granddad Wilfred Samuel John Cole he was in the Marines but I can't find him his record on here
Any tips?

This "website" is a genealogy forum with a Statement at the top of every military section (including this one) saying that you can't, and giving you the website you need to use to apply for them.

Hello Sabrown, if you read the FWR website tutorial it does make it very clear that WWII service records are only available from the MOD.
I'm sorry if you felt this was less than clear however, please contact their support desk for further assistance.
To be fair -in my experience no other genealogy site shouts this fact from the rooftops either.
FWR's site does have over 1 million records from the WWII era though -the type of records that CAN be obtained without going via the MOD such as POW, casualty, crash reports, gallantry etc.
