    Default father's records

My father died in 1980 but I am trying to discover more of his war records. He was an officer and flew on Lancasters. He was as far as I know a rear gunner/ signals. At one time he was stationed in Oban and after
That possibly Surrey. Sadly as a child I did not ask all the questions that my son is now asking me. Any help as to where I can start would be most appreciated.

    HI

Apply for his service records here - https://www.veterans-uk.info/service_...e_records.html
When you know what squadron he was in from those then look at war diaries here - https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/r...eports-ww2.htm
    and - https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/r...cord-books.htm

    regards

    Robert
