Badly damaged, scrappy & intriguing - mis-filed with SCOTT in the WW1 Service Records (WO 363);

Mostly letters from Margaret Road, WHITLEY BAY - although this is not necessarily the address of the soldier. He was enlisted as SWANSON RICHARDSON, but may have been ROBERT RICHARDSON, whose wife was ISABELLA. Father JOHN. Brother DICK. Killed in action 21 March 1918. Time-expired (previous service in India), BQMS 26404 RFA.

There is mention of a brother having drowned. The letter from Isabella appears to be saying that her husband Robert had deserted, then enlisted using the name Swanson - she is asking for the physical description of the man killed.

Or I may have completely misunderstood! Hopefully, someone will recognise the names/events.
