on Scotlands people I can only find a marriage banns for Stewart and Isabella on 15 July 1836...Am I wrong please help.

So we agree that the couple DID marry, the first found child Robert Leech bp 1838 in Liverpool died before 1840 when a 2nd child was given the same name ( not unusual) . I cannot see the death entry neither can I find Isabella on the 1841 England census
She is on the 1851 and by 1861 she is back in Scotland where she can be found in 1891 so presume died in Scotland
Thomas b 1847 there is a death entry for 1902 W Derby only purchasing the death certificate will confirm if this is your man
Sarah entry 1896 again as above!

Well Thanks, doubt's were put in my mind, by another researcher, You and I have come up with same results I did a few years ago. except I missed the first Robert leech who died young and a 2nd son was renamed...Thanks for all the help. I have another one I need help with but I have to go out today so will put it on later, I have been working on this one for a while but unsure were to go with it....

At least you do not need to unscramble your research! Just add a few extra's, finding the first child justifies a marriage in 1836!
If your further research is not connected with this, start a new thread it can always be cross referenced !!!
