i am trying to find any info on my dad listed above, so far nothing has come up. i believe he was a cook, nothing more to add i am afraid. thanks to anyone who can help

yes it is thanks, i am looking for his military service. i know he was in the Northants regiment and his number was 5882927, so far no luck on this though, unless i pay, which i cant afford to do right now, guess i will have to wait until i can. i just wish things were more simple. thanks though

The India information is transcribed wrong it should be George Tait when I looked at the original I see it unless this was your man he was in Banking

Hi
It looks like he enlisted in the Northants - Northhamptonshire Regiment 5875001 - 5931000 , as his service number fits in that range.
As for anything else, you will have to apply for his service records, nothing else is online yet.
Once you get them and work out what battalion he was in, you can look at the war diary at National Archives -
