Default DCMs for Nottinghamshire men 1917

In the "Nottingham Evening Post" of 28 January 1918 (available on the BNA website) there are detailed descriptions of the reasons for the Distinguished Conduct Medals awarded in October 1917 to these Notts men:

BARLOW, E (Bulwell); BONSER, A (Mansfield); BROOKE, M F A (Nottingham); BULLIMORE, R (Long Eaton); COPLEY, Ernest (Hucknall); COVERLEY, M (Stapleford).

Ernest could be one of mine. I hope this helps you find yours.

Generally speaking the citations for WW1 DCMs are given in full in the Gazette (except for DCMs awarded among the King's Birthday Honours)
