Just had a look at the Phillimore's Marriage Index entry for the marriage at Costock of William WOOLLEY on 25 June 1776 and it states that Elizabeth STEPHENSON was of Gotham which does therefore give a link to Gotham for this couple.

I wonder if John WOOLLEY was the brother of your William?? Another record to bear in mind, this being a baptism at Gotham on 15 November 1747 for a William WOOLLEY , son of Joseph & Abigail although I still prefer your William & Ann PARKINSON in 1751.

Phillimore's Marriage Index of Basford includes the marriage on 20 October 1801 of William SOARE & Elizabeth WOOLEY. The Index also confirms the marriage on 27 June 1751 at Bingham of William WOOLLEY & Ann PARKINSON, but no further details. IGI Family Search has a baptism in Barton in Fabis, Notts (pretty close to both Gotham & Bingham) on 25 November 1759 of a John WOOLLEY son of William & Ann and a previous John baptised to the same couple on 30 January 1757, but I cannot find a baptism of a William to the same couple - as of yet! Nottinghamshire Marriage Index has a marriage at Ruddington on 30 November 1778 between John WOOLLEY & Alice KEETLEY. Phillimore's Marriage Index record for this marriage states that John WOOLLEY was of the parish of Barton (Barton in Fabis??).

    Val,

How about this baptism from Ancestry's England & Wales Christening records:

29 March 1752 at Bingham William son of William & Ann WOOLLY

This fits in exceedingly well with the marriage of William WOOLLEY & Ann PARKINSON that you found at Bingham on 27 June 1751 and explains the PARKINSON link. He would be the first child of William & Ann and therefore always likely that she would have her first child at home with her parents.
