Is anyone able to look up parish records of st Philip and st Jacob Bristol. Looking for details of baptism possibly April 1899 for lily Edmonds. Wondering if names, addresses, work etc are shown. Parents could be lily and Harry edmunds although some confusion between censuses as appears father is sometimes shown as Harry and at other times Henry. There were other children in the family violet, Elizabeth, Henry (Harry) and possibly younger brother. Any marriages or deaths? Of parents henry(Harry) and lily

Thanks Christina for getting back to me .i have access to ancestry and therefore census. Is there anything else about any of the other children...trying to find Lily's maiden name or if they got married in the church. Harry(Henry) snr was born in Birmingham but Lily was born in Bath and all children born in district of st Nicholas Gloucester

I can't find a marriage for a Henry/Harry Edmo(u)nd(s) to a Lil(l)(e)y and am beginning to think he may have been using a second name.

There is this birth

It may be that in the end the only way to find Lily snr's maiden name is to purchase a birth certificate of one of their children.

Hi Christina

Yes will apply for birth certificate for violet as she is the only one that makes any sense at the moment. Her brother Henry/Harry is my husbands grandfather...have marriage certificate for him. However GRO could not find birth certificate. I have got marriage certificate for violet and fathers name on there is Henry edmunds but it is all so confusing now...will take your advise and get certificate of birth. Violet and Henry both married in Cardiff and can't find Elizabeth
