    Default Pte charles shaw

    Looking for information on what war Charles shaw 1544 was in the medals he received, he served 1898 to 1902 sherwood foresters. Then rejoined 1915 1918 aged 45 he survived the war

    was he in the same regiment in WW1 ? When and where was he born ?

    Yes he lived in chesterfield sheep bridge, born in iron vile in 1867 Parents named Samuel and Mary shaw, just seems to be no records of him at all in military

    seems he served at home during ww1,,,so would not have gotten any WW1 medals. There is record in file that states "attached for duty with Mssrs Burrows and sons,Attercliffe,Sheffield,to work at his trade ".
