Hi
Can you give us more information on the medal please, what WW1 medal is it? Is his name A Henson, and what is his first name? Is 554 his service number?
I found this one -
Name:
Alban Henson
Regiment or Corps:
Royal Army Medical Corps
Regimental Number:
574
But that is the closest I can come.
regards
Robert

Hi Robert, many thanks for the that information.
I can't find any identification of this medal anywhere online, I can only describe it as being silver in colour with what appears to be a winged angle holding what appears to be a building resembling a temple? It has the years 1914 and 1918 on either side of the angle.
I don't know his first name only that the inscription says Bro A Henson with the number 554.
I think there was an Alban in the family as I recall my Grandmother mentioning this name.
I have taken a photo of the medal and can email it to you if you can provide a direct email address.
Thanks for your help so far.
Peter.

re reading your decription,,it doesn't sound like one of the WW1 service medals,,,i have inboxed you my email address. WW1 medals should have name, rank, regiment and number on the rim.
