    Default Greetings from Canada!

Just joined the forum today and I'm looking forward to chatting and adding a few tidbits to my ancestry research, as well! I've been researching my family for about 5 years and have enjoyed every minute of it.
My brick walls tend to be caused by those destroyed Irish records! Maybe this forum will fill in some missing bits. Fingers crossed!

    Welcome to British-Genealogy

We have members on BG who are very familiar with Irish records or the lack of them so at least they can tell us what is or isn't to be found!

Only five years researching well in another five years you can claim to be obsessed with genealogy. It really never ends if, like a lot of us, you get lost in the side branches. Then of course there is the time looking for other people's ancestors because we enjoy the search which is why we are here on Brit-Gen.

    Default Ireland Ancestors

Keep trying to find your Irish ancestors: they are adding records to the public domain all the time, and have recently added a whole new batch. Good Luck!
