Hi,
I am searching the above officer on behalf of our church, All Saints', Warlingham, Surrey, where he is interred. We have a special day on Saturday, 13th September to remember those who gave their lives in WW1, and we can find nothing out about this guy at all. We believe he was a Warrant Officer First Class, and his service number may be 8345, he died on 3rd March 1918, aged 32.
If there is anything in his service records other than what I have here, I would be grateful for any help anyone can give me please.
Look forward to hearing from anyone soon.
Regards,
Carol

Further to my earlier post about the National Archives of Australia having his service records, I thought you would be interested to hear there are 82 scanned pages of info relating to Henry, which include communications from the war dept. with his widow Florence.

Hi, Many thanks for coming back to me so quickly, I am extremely grateful. I now have another request I am hoping you can help me with. From the information you gave me, and that received from the State Library of SA, I am now hoping to find the living relatives of Henry William Lawson. His son Frederick Lawson, died in 1973, born in 1914, he and his wife had four children, Bill (maybe William), Mary, Geoffrey and Andrew Lawson, and 2 grandchildren, Simon and Anna, although not sure who the parents are!?
Can you suggest how I go about finding these living (I hope) relatives, in South Australia?
I would love to send them a picture of their Grandfathers grave, and thank them for the ultimate sacrifice he gave to us all.
Look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thanks,
Carol
